The NSW 2012 Budget offers excellent incentives for the First Home Buyer to build a new home or apartment with the most generous assistance package for New Home Buyers in Australia.
From October 1 2012, a first-home buyer who purchases a new home up to the value of $550,000 will be eligible to receive $35,240 in Government assistance. This first-home owner scheme will replace the existing first home buyer and represents the most generous government first home owner assistance packages since the launch of the government scheme.

Stamp duty concessions continue under the First Home – New Home Scheme, with 100% exemption on homes valued up to $550,000 (with concessions up to $650,000) and vacant land up to $350,000 (with concessions to $450,000).
From 1 October 2012, First Home Buyers entering into a building contract on a new home, can claim the $15,000 First Home Owners Grant. This replaces the previous First Home buyers Grant of $7,000.
